Several Bigfoot sightings reported in downtown Rochester

The Rochester Police Department has received several reports of Bigfoot sightings in the downtown area. Fearing the worst, concerned citizens and business owners are on the lookout for the legendary cryptid.

Chris Harrelson, Profile Bank, says he became a believer when a Bigfoot allegedly approached one of the bank’s drive-thru teller windows.

“I heard about the Bigfoot sightings last summer, but I never thought I’d see one out in the open like that,” said Harrelson. “I didn’t know whether to run and hide or help him open a savings account.”

Officer Brandon Kimbrough, Rochester’s Community Engagement Officer, is encouraging residents to stay calm and keep their distance.

“Until we make contact, we want everyone to stay safe. Our department will do everything we can to protect life and property,” said Kimbrough. “If you see a Bigfoot, do not approach it. Please, be careful out there.”

Todd Radict, owner of Skeletone Records, insists he saw a Bigfoot watering flowers around the Parson Main monument in Central Square.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Radict. “I looked down for a second, to grab my camera, and he was gone! It all happened so fast.”

Volunteers with Rochester Main Street are taking action to respond to the concerns of community members. Board president Jeff Bisson says the organization created a website to record Bigfoot sightings and track their whereabouts.

“We believe there is more than one Bigfoot in Rochester,” said Bisson. “We need help tracking this mysterious herd. It’s our hope that people will find them, photograph them, and help Rochester Main Street prove they exist once and for all.”

The organization is offering prizes for anyone brave enough to locate them all.

“We believe they’re everywhere,” Bisson continued. “We need your help to locate and document them. Rochester Main Street is raffling off $25 gift cards to a downtown business of your choice, if you’re lucky enough to be selected.”
