Hearts On Main Street: Celebrate Love and Support Downtown Rochester

Published on

Rochester Main Street is hosting Hearts On Main Street, a Valentine’s-themed event encouraging people to celebrate love while supporting downtown Rochester.

Participants can purchase custom laser-engraved hearts for $25, which will be displayed downtown throughout the event before being picked up at the end. Hearts can be purchased online at rochestermainstreet.org/hearts.html.

A large heart display in Central Square invites visitors to snap a photo and share it via email or social media. “We are loving the positivity this event is bringing to downtown and the diversity of the messages we are getting!” said Jeff Bisson, Executive Director. “People are dedicating hearts to their significant others, their dogs, Bigfoot, the Rochester Police Department, and the community as a whole!”

Committee member Todd Radict added, “This event is something new, and so far, the feedback has been great. Our goal is to sell at least 80 hearts, and the money raised goes directly back into downtown projects. We hope this is the first of many years to come and are always looking for more volunteers to make it happen!”
