Rochester Public Library presents StoryWalk Plus

Published on

The Children’s Room, at the Rochester Public Library, presents StoryWalk® Plus, to be held during February school vacation.

The StoryWalk® takes approximately 45-90 minutes to complete,” said Christina Paquette, Children’s Librarian. “We hope that while families are enjoying this activity, they will also get excited about visiting downtown businesses!”

According to Paquette, participants start at the Library, where packets are available in the Children’s Room, starting Friday, February 18 to Saturday, February 26. From there, participants move throughout downtown, stopping at a variety of designated locations to read storybook pages and collect clue words. When the walk is completed, participants will unscramble the collected words to complete a phrase.

“We have 15 businesses and municipal buildings displaying book pages,” said Paquette. “All participants will receive a $5 gift card from Jetpack Comics & Games when they complete the StoryWalk. We appreciate their support for this program.”

Completed forms should be returned to the Children’s Desk by Monday, February 28 to collect a reward and to be entered for a chance to win a prize. Prizewinners will be chosen at random.

For inquiries and additional information, call (603) 335-7549. The Rochester Public Library is located at 65 South Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867.
