The Rochester Public Library Teen Room invites teens to enjoy a variety of events and activities throughout the month of May.

The Teen Winter/Spring Reading Program is going strong! Raffle prizes will be awarded at the end of the program, including an art kit, water bottles, reading baskets, Pokémon cards, games, and more. Teens can sign up on Beanstack: https://rplnhreads.beanstack.org/

The Rochester Public Library is offering Spaulding NHS members an opportunity to earn volunteer hours by reading and writing reviews. This program is also managed through Beanstack: https://rplnhreads.beanstack.org/

Rochester Middle School Book Club students can get copies of the current books being read and discussed from the library. “RPL is happy to provide these titles for students who wish to participate in the RMS book club,” said Teen Librarian Amy Lemelin.

Take and Make – Starts May 1
Teens can pick up a seed-starting kit in the Teen Room while supplies last.

Book Boxes have been added to the list of offerings in the Teen Room. Teens can fill out a form (found on the website: rpl.lib.nh.us/teens) to receive two or more titles along with a few small gifts. Teens return the books and keep the gifts.

Teens are also welcome to drop by anytime to use the makerspace, play games, solve scavenger hunts, or check out a book or Playaway.

“I am thrilled to have a growing group of enthusiastic teens utilizing the teen room to do homework, visit with friends, read, and participate in programs,” said Amy Lemelin, Teen Librarian.
