Rochester School Board seeks community participation in Superintendent search

The City of Rochester is currently searching for a new Superintendent of Schools. The School Department has engaged the services of the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to assist in this important task.

An integral part of the superintendent search involves the community’s participation in the needs assessment process.

VIRTUAL FOCUS GROUPS:

  • The virtual focus group via ZOOM for municipal members will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Click here for the meeting link.
  • The virtual focus group via ZOOM for the business community will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Click here for the meeting link.

ONLINE SURVEY:

  • Please access the survey here. The survey will be open from now through February 26, 2024.

The online survey and focus groups are designed to enable participants to provide insight into the knowledge, skills, and experiences they want the new superintendent to possess.

NESDEC consultant Dr. Carolyn Burke is working with the School Board to facilitate the search and conduct the community needs assessment. The School Board values the opinions of parents and community members. Please take advantage of these opportunities to help shape the future of the Rochester School Department.
