The Rochester School District and the New Hampshire School Funding Fairness Project will host “School Funding & Property Taxes: Rochester School District” on April 21 at 6:00 PM at Salmon Falls Elementary School Cafeteria, 753 Salmon Falls Road in Rochester.
The one-hour community conversation will include a Q&A session on how New Hampshire funds its public schools, highlighting unequal tax burdens and unequal opportunities for students. Organizers will share local data, explain recent court rulings and revenue options, and discuss next steps and opportunities for community impact.
The event will focus on state-level funding issues while also examining challenges faced by the Rochester School District under the current funding model. Registration is requested to help prepare materials tailored to attendees’ communities, with no obligation to opt in to future communications.
