Final Free Comic Book Day Festival to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024

Published on

Due to increased expenses, staffing, and other challenges, Jetpack Comics & Games has announced that after 18 years, the final Rochester Free Comic Book Day Festival will be held on May 4, 2024.

Over the years, Free Comic Book Day has been an economic driver for the downtown business community, attracting thousands of visitors annually. In a social media post announcing the final event, organizers expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported the event since the beginning.

The final Free Comic Book Day Festival will feature a downtown comic book giveaway, a giant costume contest, a vendor/creator/event hall, and a legendary after-party with musical guests The Toes.

Interested participants looking to get involved are encouraged to contact Jetpack Comics owner Ralph DiBernardo at jetpackcomics@gmail.com. Visit www.jetpackcomics.com for additional information.
