Relay for Life scheduled for 6/25 at Spaulding High School

Published on

The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will take place at Spaulding High School, on Saturday, June 25th, from 11am to 11pm.

According to the American Cancer Society’s website, “at Relay For Life, you’ll find community members taking turns walking around a track lined with luminaria bags. You’ll have the opportunity to cheer for local survivors (or participate as a survivor) in our first lap of the day. Caregivers of cancer patients (currently or previously diagnosed) will then be invited to join the Survivors. Local entertainers will keep you energized. As it gets dark, we will light the luminaria bags surrounding the track in a memorable luminaria ceremony. There will be opportunities to fundraise and fight back!”

Event sponsors include American Legion Post 7, Back to Roots Chiropractic & Nutrition, Cornerstone VNA, Dartmouth Health, Forged Martial Arts, Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Granite State Credit Union, Martin’s Point Healthcare, Meredith Village Savings Bank, New England Cancer Specialists, Rouleau’s Precision Repair, Royalty Automotive Services Inc., SRW Environmental Consulting, Spence & Mathews Insurance, and The Rochester Voice.
