Kayak & Canoe Launch event scheduled for 6/12

Riverwalk Committee Chair, Dave Walker, is pleased to invite the public to an informal event in Hanson Pines to welcome the installation of the Kayak & Canoe Launch for 2021. The event will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm.

The Kayak & Canoe Launch is located at the end of Hillsdale Drive. Kayaks and canoes can be dropped off as there is limited parking on site. There is additional parking at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, behind Spaulding High School.

Light snacks and goody bags will be offered during the event. A fire rescue boat will be in the water. There will also be an arborist station where kids can learn about the surrounding area. The committee will also be selling $5 calendars (cash only) as a fundraiser for future projects.

The rain date for this event is set for June 19.
