Titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded for offline enjoyment later. There are hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, with more being added daily.

With OverDrive or its app, Libby, you can borrow and enjoy free ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. All you need to get started is an internet connection and a Rochester library card. At Overdrive.com, the OverDrive app, or the Libby app, you can enjoy many titles immediately online, download them for offline use, or send borrowed ebooks to a compatible eReader.

Hoopla Recommendation
Main Desk Librarian, Stephanie, says: “I am a big fan of hoopla audiobooks. if you’ve ever read Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre, you will probably enjoy listening to Rachel Hawkins The Wife Upstairs, a modern retelling with enough differences and the kind of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Jane, a former foster kid now a dog walker for the wealthy elite of Thornfield Estates, is almost run over by Eddie Rochester, a dreamy guy who owns the most secluded house in the neighborhood. Is he single, Jane wonders? Will there be a life beyond walking dogs in store for her? If you know the classic on which this story is based, you’ll have fun making the connections! If you aren’t familiar with Charlotte Bronte’s book, hoopla has Jane Eyre available as an audiobook as well, so you can listen to them both right there.”
