At a recent City Council meeting, during the City Manager’s report, Katie Ambrose announced that she has completed the process to earn a designation of ICMA Credentialed Manager.

The designation, recognizing her professional accomplishments and adherence to the highest standards of local government management, was approved by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Executive Board on January 6, 2025.

“One of my goals for myself this year as City Manager was to pursue the ICMA credentialed manager designation,” said Ambrose.

ICMA, founded in 1914, is dedicated to advancing professional local government management worldwide. Its mission is to enhance the proficiency of Chief Administrative Officers, Assistant Administrators, and other employees serving local and regional governments through leadership, innovation, and commitment to ethics. ICMA Credentialed Managers are distinguished by their education, experience, and commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

With over 13,000 members globally, ICMA’s network includes more than 50 members in New Hampshire. By earning this designation, Ambrose joins a select group of professionals demonstrating exceptional dedication to public service.
