HCA Healthcare to provide paid training for Licensed Nursing Assistants

HCA Healthcare is providing paid training for people interested in becoming licensed nursing assistants. The course is offered in both day and evening sessions, and includes job placement upon successful completion of the course.

LNAs can be placed at any of HCA New England Healthcare’s three hospitals after graduation – Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, or Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

The LNA trainees are hired per diem during the program, and can transition to a full-time status of 36 hours per week once their license is active. During shifts, LNAs will receive training in patient care, such as helping patients with activities of daily living, taking vitals, checking blood sugar, performing EKGs, and removing catheters. Additionally, Portsmouth Regional Hospital pays for the students’ final exam, for which there is a 100% pass rate.

The day program runs for six weeks, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and the evening program runs for six weeks, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Upon completion of the program, students will train for three weeks on their hired unit with an experienced LNA preceptor. Applicants must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED.

The next LNA cohort begins on July 8, 2024. For more information and to apply, visit careers.hcahealthcare.com, or contact Kelly Paul at (603) 433-4950.
