Hope on Haven Hill Founder Awarded National Pillar of Excellence Award

Kerry Norton, RN and founder of Hope on Haven Hill, one of only two residential treatment centers in New Hampshire for pregnant and parenting women challenged by substance use disorder and their babies, is pleased to accept the Addiction Policy Forum’s Pillar of Excellence Award.

The Addiction Policy Forum, a national advocacy organization, presents the Pillar of Excellence Award to cutting-edge leaders from communities across America who are innovators in the fight against substance use disorders.

The award was presented in Washington DC at the annual conference sponsored by the Addiction Policy Forum and before hundreds of leaders in the movement to fight substance use disorder.

“We are so thrilled for Kerry and glad that her dedication and tireless work over the past five years to ensure pregnant and parenting young women with substance use disorder have access to safe, quality residential and community treatment service,” noted Mary Ellen Jackson, current Co-Interim Executive Director of Hope on Haven Hill.

In addition to being a co-founder of the residential program, Ms, Norton has been instrumental in creating NH-only recovery house, Abi’s Place, for parenting young women and their babies, to be opened in August. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on July 17 at noon at the new location, 38 Charles Street, Rochester, NH.
