Library to host renowned storyteller and sports journalist Mike Whaley on 6/7

The Rochester Public Library is pleased to welcome longtime sportswriter Mike Whaley to share his extensive collection of stories and columns, meticulously curated from his more than 30-year career in the newspaper industry.

Mike’s journey began as a contributor to the Rochester Courier, followed by his work for Foster’s Daily Democrat and the now-defunct Rochester Times. With a passion for sports journalism, Whaley has earned a reputation for his keen observations, insightful analysis, and compelling storytelling.

Whaley’s upcoming release, titled A Pen for All Seasons, offers an insider’s perspective on the world of sports throughout Seacoast New Hampshire and Maine.

To celebrate the publication of A Pen for All Seasons, the Library invites sports enthusiasts, readers, and fans of quality storytelling to attend the event. Whaley will take participants on a nostalgic journey as he shares anecdotes and highlights from his extensive collection.

The event will take place on Wednesday, June 7th at 6:00 pm in the Community Room of the Rochester Public Library, located at 65 South Main Street. Admission is free, and no registration is necessary. For more information about the event, visit www.rpl.lib.nh.us.
