Rochester Public Library to host ‘needle felting’ and ‘build your own robot’ workshops for teens in May

Published on

The Rochester Public Library Teen Room is excited to announce two creative programs scheduled for teens in May.

On Wednesday, May 8, teens can participate in “Bristle Bots – Create and Design,” where they’ll have the chance to design a bristle bot (a simple battery-operated robot) and engage in various challenges with them. This event will take place at 12:00 pm in the Teen Room. Participants have the option to take their bots home afterward.

Following that, on Monday, May 13, Marcey Buchakjian will host “Needle Felting with Marcey” at 6:00 pm in the Teen Room. This program offers teens the opportunity to explore sculpting shapes and figures using wool and special felting needles.

All supplies will be provided for both programs, and no registration is necessary.

In addition to these programs, the Teen Room offers opportunities for games, puzzles, and crafts after school. For further inquiries, interested individuals can contact Amy Lemelin at (603) 335-7549 x7309 or amy.lemelin@rochesternh.gov. To learn more, visit www.rpl.lib.nh.us/teens.
