City Clerk: Recounts for November 7th, 2023 Municipal Election scheduled for 11/18

The Rochester City Clerk’s Office is pleased to announce that recounts for the November 7th, 2023 Municipal Election shall be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, in the Senior Activity Center, starting at 9:00 am.

The deadline for recount requests is November 16, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Three recounts have been scheduled so far:

Ward 1 City Council – Seat A:

  • Patricia Turner (345)
  • Joshua Guptel (326)

Ward 4 City Council – Seat A:

  • David E. Walker (409)
  • Chuck Grassie (409)

Ward 6 School Board – Seat B:

  • Donna R. Ellis (242)
  • Kelli Allen (246)

Decisions of the City Clerk in cases of recounts shall be final; however, if any race ends with a tie vote, the process to break such tie, shall be resolved by lot in the manner the City Council has determined and held in a public forum at a Special City Council meeting tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

The Senior Activity Center is located at 150 Wakefield Street, inside the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, behind Spaulding High School.
