Spaulding High School’s Yasmin Nguyen Accepted to Harvard, Aims to Make a Difference

The City of Rochester congratulates Spaulding High School student Yasmin Nguyen on her acceptance to Harvard University, where she plans to study pre-law and pursue her goal of making a meaningful impact in the world.

Yasmin Nguyen is an exceptional student whose leadership and dedication have left a lasting impact on the school community. At Spaulding, she is an honors student ranked in the top ten in her class.

As secretary of the National Honor Society and Class Council, Yasmin has played a key role in organizing events and fostering collaboration among her peers. She also founded a new club called LIFT (Library Initiative For Teens) to make the Media Center an engaging space for students.

Her passion for advocacy shines through as Co-Vice Chair of the Environmental Club, where she successfully planned the annual ‘Thrift Swap and Earth Week’ to raise awareness and encourage environmental sustainability.

Yasmin’s aptitude for academics is equally impressive; as president of Mu Alpha Theta, she not only excels in mathematics but also organizes tutoring programs to help fellow students succeed.

Yasmin truly exemplifies what it means to be a leader, scholar, and advocate for positive change. The City of Rochester and the Spaulding community celebrate her achievements and wish her well in her future endeavors.
