ApplyNH Event Opens Doors for Spaulding Seniors to College and Career Success

Part of a statewide initiative by Granite Edvance to encourage higher education and career exploration, allowed seniors to submit applications to participating colleges and universities across New Hampshire. The waived fees remove a common barrier for students, ensuring that financial concerns did not prevent them from pursuing higher education opportunities.

“ApplyNH is an incredible resource for our youth,” said Rochester School District Superintendent Annie Azarloza. “Not only does it make applying to college more accessible, but it also gives our scholars the opportunity to meet with experts who can guide them through the process and answer any questions they may have. This is an important step in ensuring that every one of our scholars has the support they need to succeed.”

Food provided for the ApplyNH event at Spaulding High School in Rochester. In addition to the support, the event featured generous refreshments provided by local businesses including Hannaford, Aroma Joe’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Now We’re Talking, a local educational service provider. These local sponsors ensured that students were energized as they worked through their applications.

The ApplyNH event is just one of many efforts within the Rochester School District to help students prepare for life after high school. The district continues to focus on providing opportunities for students to explore postsecondary education, technical training, and workforce readiness.
