City Council seeks qualified candidates for Ward 2/Seat B vacancy, applications due 6/18

On Tuesday, June 4, Councilor Rachel Lawrence announced her intent to resign from the Ward 2/Seat B position on City Council, effective July 2, due to a change in employment.

Any registered voter of Ward 2 interested in serving on the City Council is encouraged to submit a Statement of Interest form by 9:00 am on June 18. The form is available online and in the City Clerk’s Office.

Qualified candidates will be invited to interview during an upcoming City Council meeting. Candidates will have the opportunity to address Rochester residents and members of the Council. Following the interviews, the City Council will vote to appoint a new member, effective immediately.
