Library to host Fire Prevention Awareness Event with Rochester Fire Dept.

Published on

The Rochester Public Library Children’s Room, in collaboration with the Rochester Fire Department, is pleased to announce an upcoming Fire Prevention Awareness event on October 14, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Rochester Public Library, 65 South Main Street.

The Rochester Fire Department will be stationed in the library parking lot, showcasing their firetruck and a variety of emergency equipment. Families attending the event will have the opportunity to explore multiple fire apparatus while gaining invaluable insights into fire safety.

A StoryWalk® presentation of Plan and Prepare! by Charles Ghigna will be displayed on the library’s lawn, combining the joys of reading with essential safety information.

Children’s librarian Christina Paquette shared her thoughts on the event, stating, “Bringing the community together is just one of the things we do here at the Library. We are happy to host a fire safety awareness event that is both fun and informative.”

The primary mission of this event is to promote fire safety awareness in the home. Geared towards families, the event is free of charge and open to all, with no registration required. For more information about this event, please contact the Rochester Public Library Children’s Room at (603) 335-7549.
